We're Back! Quisette, CCC, and Ptown

It's been 10 months since we were last here. We do notice an increase in boats in the harbors: July vs September.

We have been scurrying up the coast to spend time in Maine this summer. Overnight from Naptown to Cape May, outboard repair delay, overnight to Block Island, on to Quissett yesterday, and through the Cape Cod Canal to Provincetown today. Anchored 200' from our 2014 spot as it is occupied by a Lagoon 38.

Made it to the west end of the canal by 1100; in time for the current to switch in our direction. The max flow is 3.5kts and we don't want to fight it. At the entrance is the MMA - Massachusetts Maritime Academy with its huge wind gen.

Under the RR bridge, and Bourne Bridge, and Sagamore Bridge, and into Cape Cod Bay.

Passing by us was the schooner Maryland Lady from Baltimore.

Then we were overtaken by a tug/barge. (Its AIS listed it as "At Anchor." I think not!)

In Ptown harbor we were greeted by the Kalmar Nyckel under sail.

It's Bear Week ashore. Gotta check it out. And maybe a bike ride to the dunes tomorrow. Or maybe stay onboard and have a "Orange Is The New Black" Fest as our wifi signal is better here than in our condo. So many options.
